A fascination with motorcycles at 10 years old led Mihiko Kawase to take to the circuit at 18, racing until the age of 27. Alongside his racing activities, Kawase-san begin to work during the week for a parts manufacturer before joining Honda and in 2012 he was transferred to HRC to work on the Moto3 project. A dream come true for the former lightweight class racer. His efforts would be rewarded in 2019 with the Moto3 World Championship which he oversaw as the Large Project Leader (LPL). Since then, he was worked in various roles within the MotoGP project, becoming Technical Manager during the 2024 season.
